- BSA Handbook
- Backpack or duffel bag (depending on outing)
- Sleeping bag (20 degree) in waterproof bag lined with plastic bag
- Closed cell foam sleeping pad
- Small pillow (optional)
- Waterproof ground tarp (Space Blanket)
- Straps to hold sleeping bag, pad and tent on pack (not bungee cords)
- Clothes suitable for foretasted weather and activities (packed in plastic freezer bags)
- Class A uniform (always worn while traveling to and returning from a camp out)
- (A Few)Jacket, coat, or sweatshirt (wool or polypro preferable, weight appropriate for the season)
- Troop 39 Class B T-shirt
- Poncho/rain gear
- Hiking boots
- Toilet paper
- Mess Kit
- Bottle for Beverage
- Pocketknife (must have a Totin’ Chip and blade must be less than or equal to palm width)
- Matches (when permitted ( Chit Needed )
- Small Rope ( Optional )
- Flashlight (small with extra batteries) LED and Regular
